Our Team.
We are all student reporters representing Bakersfield College for the Cal Humanities Emerging Journalist Fellowship program. We've all worked together in the past on BC's paper, the Renegade Rip, and are now coming together to create this project we can call our own.
Jaylene Collins
Jaylene Collins is a journalism major attending Bakersfield College and is a former editor for the student paper. She is currently writing for BC’s Career Education Office.
Justin White
Justin White is the sports editor for the Renegade Rip at Bakersfield College. He plans to transfer to a four-year university after this spring semester is over.

Aubrianna Martinez
Aubrianna Martinez is an editor for the Bakersfield College student paper, the Renegade Rip, and is transferring to Cal State University of Bakersfield in the fall.

Hugo Maldonado Garcia
Hugo Maldonado is a Journalism and Communication major at Bakersfield College and will hopefully be transferring to CSUN in the fall. He is the current Editor-in-Chief for The Renegade Rip.
